March 24th: Raising the Next Generation: Are We Growing Healthy Kids? This panel will feature:
- Mary Ann Esposito, the creator and host of the nationally televised PBS series Ciao Italia with Mary Ann Esposito™, the longest running television cooking program in America.
- Kathy Gunst, chef, food writer, and resident chef of WBUR’s Here & Now on National Public Radio. Kathy is author of more than a dozen cookbooks, including Notes from a Maine Kitchen and The Parenting Cookbook.
- Joanne Curran- Celentano, Professor of Nutritional Sciences at the University of New Hampshire, where she teaches and also explores why diets rich in fruits and vegetables decrease the risk of chronic disease.
- Sally Sampson, founder and president of ChopChop, a quarterly magazine dedicated to reversing and preventing childhood obesity. She is a cookbook author and food writer who has written 11 cookbooks and coauthored seven more.
April 21st: Gary Hirshberg, Chairman, Stonyfield Farm. Gary will talk about transparency and science in our food system as he looks at what is happening with genetically modified foods in the country and specifically New Hampshire.
